The DCARB Cleaning

The market leading DCARB unit creates the perfect combination of Hydrogen and Oxygen gases that oxidize, pulverize and remove carbon from your engine during your engine’s normal combustion process at idle. Rather than storing highly pressurised and dangerous Hydrogen in your workshop, we create the Hydrogen (and Oxygen) on Demand by breaking down water during a scientifically controlled electrolysis process.


We plumb these gases into the engines intake to alter the combustion process. This Hydrogen and Oxygen combined create a vastly different burn characteristic within the combustion chamber removing the carbon that has built up over time.

How does it work?


Warm the engine and connect the hose to the air intake


Turn on the unit, letting the engine idle for at least 30 minutes depending on the amount of carbon build-up on the engine.


Rev the engine every 10 minutes to clear loosened carbon from the engine

Dry Cell Technology vs Multiple Wet Cell “Tanks”

We use a patent pending “Dry Cell” design that is safer, starts quicker, and Stops Immediately. Our competitors use a “Wet Cell” design that is basically a set of steel tanks filled with electrolyte and electrodes dangling in the liquid. Here is a comparison of the two designs:

Not only are we producing the hydrogen on demand, we have also built many safety features into the DCARB system.

Dry Cell Technology

The use of Dry Cell technology means we can turn on or off the production of hydrogen almost instantly. The use of Wet Cell systems can see the production of Hydrogen (an Explosive Gas) for long periods after the unit is turned off.

Engine stop safety switch

Our unit uses a sensor on the alternator to understand if the engine is still running or not. Therefore, if the engine stalls, the unit will stop producing hydrogen immediately.

Flash-back retardant

We have a special patented valve in the unit that will stop any potential explosion from injuring your technicians, your customer’s vehicle or your equipment. If a flame does manage to combust the hydrogen in the line, this valve harmlessly dissipates the flame and the shock wave.

Corrosive Scrubber Tank

All electrolysis systems (ours included) produce corrosive vapours that corrode aluminium, copper and brass engine components. These vapours must be filtered out to prevent engine damage. ONLY the patented DCARB system uses a scrubber filtration technology to remove these corrosive vapours material before they reach the engine.

We are so concerned about this particular issue that we also have an indicator fluid that will change colour and warn the operator if the filter has failed to remove the corrosive elements.

Low Operational Costs

Perhaps the most attractive element of this technology is its very low maintenance requirement and operational costs.

Clean Two Engines Simultaneously

We deliver premixed Electrolyte and filtration liquid to protect the health and safety of the technician, competitors send corrosive and hazardous chemicals the technician must mix, exposing him to dust and vapours that damage the skin, eyes, and lungs.

  • The system does not store gas; the gas is piped to theengine as it is generated and immediately consumedin the cleaning process.
  • Heavy Duty standard USA/ Canadian Industrial 3blade plug commonly used with arc welders, vehiclehoists, air compressors.
  • The 2.5 meter electric cord is rated at 240 volts, 55amp capacity, well above system capacity.
  • The system pulls a maximum of 15 amps at 220 voltsfrom the wall socket.
  • The system is equipped with a 20 amp circuitbreaker.
  • The circuit breaker in the shop should be at least acapacity of 16 amps and preferably a 20 ampcapacity or larger.
